Small business internet marketing tips and tutorials from Online4Offline.com

Up for a Challenge?

Hey,

George here. On 1st of August, along with Doug and thousands of other business owners and marketers, I’ll be taking part in something very special called the 30 day challenge.

It’s a free, fast start training course designed to show beginners how to make their first dollar (or pound) on the internet.

But don’t be fooled.

——————————————————————–

This isn’t just for “newbies” and it isn’t just for the “make money online” crowd either.

——————————————————————–

I believe the training is so good, you can apply it to a “bricks and mortar” business, e-commerce stores, or pretty much anything else that involves doing business on the internet.

The information here is *so fresh*, even seasoned veterans sit up and pay attention (if you’re in the internet marketing world, you’ll see some big names in the forums already).

Over the last month I’ve been going over what the guys at 30 day challenge call ‘pre-season’ content, and I must say, I’ve already picked up several tips that I know will add thousands to my bottom line this year.

As I said, the whole 30 day challenge is free, but a word of warning.

AND HERE’S THE CATCH:

You need to commit a fair amount of time to do it. If you’re rushed off your feet and don’t have a few hours spare a week, don’t take part. The 30 Day Challenge is heavily weighted towards IMPLEMENTING as well as learning, and if you don’t implement this stuff, you’ll lose out.

But, if you *do* have some spare time to invest in growing your business (which I believe you always should), I strongly urge you to go and register now and dive into the pre-season content.

The Thirty Day Challenge has been running for a few years now, and they’ve already had a few millionaires out of it.

I’m not saying this’ll happen to you, but a significant boost in sales after taking part is highly likely.

All being well, Doug and I will be taking part this year. So if you want to get a ‘team’ together, send me an email (or leave a comment on this post) and I can give you a hand.

Enjoy,

George.

How to Track Phone Calls in Google Analytics

Hey,

Just posted an article on my blog and thought I’d share it with you guys as well.

When running an online marketing campaign for a small business it’s hard to factor phone calls generated into measuring the campaigns effectiveness/ROI.

Now I may be behind the curve on this one, but this could be a massive breakthrough for small business who use the internet to market themselves.

CHECK THE POST OUT HERE.

Your Questions About Google Adwords

OK people, I’m going to be making a start on some funky new adwords videos next week, and I need your input.

We weren’t going to do anything on adwords in particular (as this site is primarily about small business marketing in general). But, going by the responses we’ve had on some forums, the Adwords issue needs to be addressed, so here goes…

I already have a damn good idea of what I’ll be teaching, but I want to make sure I don’t miss anything or indeed totally miss the point (I’m good at that).

So I really need your input. Tell me what you’re struggling with, what your frustrations are, what you’re trying the achieve (direct sale, email optin, lead generation, e-commerce, affiliate marketing etc), and how you’re doing now.

What you need to do:

Ask your questions in the “Leave a Reply” box directly below this post.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Cheers,

George

Harassment — Web 2.0 style

Hey, George here.

Doug has finally had his wicked way and got me into Twitter. (He’s been hassling me about it for ages now)

Mr McIsaac’s always been into social media/web 2.0 stuff much more than me - and gives me a regular kicks up the arse to use it more. Thanks to him I’m getting a bit better at Facebook, and am seeing the potential of Youtube (with the help of Uncle Mofo and Mike Koenigs at Mass Control in San Diego)

My problem has always been the time involved in getting social media traffic… Being an Adwords veteran, I find it hard to spend time on building buzz groups, lenses, hubpages, etc when I could make a big dent in a market in a few hours with pay per click.

Anyway, I thought I’d give Twitter a go.

It looks like fun, and is a good way of keeping in touch with you, dear reader, on a regular basis.

Visit my Twitter page here,

…and visit Doug’s Twitter page here.

Does that make us a pair of twits? ;-)
(I’ve certainly been called a lot worse)

Speak soon,

George.

PS: You may notice the blog has changed a bit… We’ve taken some videos down ready for the ‘new wave’ of content coming up. First in the series will be some new Adwords tutorials. (I came across a post in the Warrior forum the other day and by the sound of it, there’s a big lack of good Adwords info around.) So I’m putting a set of adwords videos together that take it to the next level — so stay tuned!

From Plumbing to Pay Per Click - George’s Story

Well, the teleseminar today wasn’t meant to go this way but it did…

The plan was for Doug to interview me about my background etc… but that only lasted about 15 minutes :-)

The rest of the call turned into pure content which we didn’t plan to give away… Any way, we covered all kinds of stuff (it’s a bit disjointed) including adwords strategy, positioning, the psychology of keywords, amongst other things… like drainage.

Have a listen and let me know your thoughts:
